Planning Ahead Is The Key To Success!

Over the last few months, I’ve gotten into the habit of meal planning.  So, every Sunday, I plan out my meals and snacks for the week, make my grocery list, and hit up the grocery store!  When I  get home, I do all of my food prep for the week so everything is ready to go.  All my veggies are chopped, chicken is cooked ahead of time for on my salads, and I portion everything out!  It makes it so much easier to be able to grab and go each day!  Let’s be honest, if I didn’t have everything prepped, the chance of me cutting up celery Monday morning (or any morning for that matter!) to pack in  my cooler for the day is pretty slim to none!  And then I will be hungry during the day and end up grabbing something from the vending machine… FAIL!  This way, I know that I have everything I need to get me through the day and my chance of going off track with my eating is pretty low!

Another issue that I’ve had in the past is coming up with dinner ideas during the week.  Who wants to try to figure out what to cook when you’ve worked all day, you’re tired, and at that point, you just don’t care what you make!  Then you  just make the quickest thing that comes to mind… and more than likely it’s going to be something you shouldn’t be eating!… FAIL AGAIN!!!  That’s where meal planning saves the day again!  You know exactly what you are going to make each day and you have all the ingredients ready to go to get dinner started.

Honestly, I put off meal planning for quite some time, but now I’m so happy that I do it!  I’m on a tight grocery budget each month and it really does save me money.  I only get what I need for the week rather than just throwing random things into my cart at the grocery store…hoping that I’ll be able to whip up some kind of meal with what’s in my cart! It really is a win, win, win all around!


P90X3 Is Coming!

Who’s heard of P90x?  I’m guessing most people have!  Many people have done P90x and got amazing results from the comfort of their own living rooms.  Tony Horton has done an amazing job coming up with a total body workout…so good that he then came out with P90x2… but the catch with that was that it built upon the first P90x workout, and you obviously weren’t going to buy that unless you made it through the first video series!

I’ve never personally done P90x, so I did some research to see how people felt about the workout itself.  One of the biggest complaints that I came across dealt with time.  People just didn’t have the time needed to be able to commit and complete the workouts.  However, people were excited about their results from the program and surprised at just how fit they were getting by doing it!

And here’s where I tell you the exciting news!  Beachbody is now releasing P90x3 on 12/10/13! And it gets BETTER!!… Each of the workouts are only 30 minutes in length which addresses the aforementioned complaints… AND… it’s a stand alone workout which means that it doesn’t build upon P90x and P902!  Never did P90x… No worries!  You can still start out with P90x3.  Who doesn’t have 30 minutes a day to workout?  Everyone can find that much time!  And the best news of all is that you can still get the same amazing results in a shorter length of time!

How long does it take to complete P90X3?
P90X3 is a 90 day program, split into 3 Blocks. Blocks 1 & 2 each consist of 4 weeks, while Block 3 lasts 5 weeks.

Additionally, the Elite Block calendar, which is an optional block to be completed AFTER the initial 90 days, lasts 4 weeks.

The Elite Block includes 3 workouts not included within the P90X3 Base Kit. These workouts and calendar can be found within the P90X3 Deluxe and Ultimate Kits. In addition, they can also be purchased separately.

How long are the workouts for P90X3?
All P90X3 workouts are 30 minutes. The lone exception is the X3 Ab Ripper workout (15 minutes), included within the Deluxe Kit. Most workouts include a 2-3 minute cool down period.
